Serious changes affect every traditional retail florist
The reason I'm writing and sending this copy is to call your attention to serious changes happening that will effect every traditional retail florist now and forever. February 7th all major newspapers in every major city across the country received flowers from florist promoting the fact that the consumer can now order FTD Flowers from Wal-Mart for same day delivery.
These orders were sent to florists by FTD.com to fill. I refused to send my flowers for this purpose!
There is an important meeting sponsored by the Chesapeake Floral Association scheduled on April 19th at Michael's Eighth Avenue in Glen Burnie, MD that will address this issue and many other issues like this effecting our industry.
